Situation
Zimbabwe is situated on a high plateau in the South Central of
Africa, between the Limpopo and Zambezi rivers. It is landlocked
and bordered by Zambia to the north and northwest, by South Africa
to the south, by Mozambique to the east and northeast and by Botswana
to the South West.
Climate
Warm without being oppressive and with a daily average sunshine
ranging from four to ten hours all year round. It is very hot
and dry from August to October while summer (the rainy season)
runs from November to April. A dry winter follows in May to July
each year.
Languages
Official Language: English. Other: Shona and Sindebele are widely
spoken as well as other major vernacular languages.
Currency
Zimbabwe’s unit of currency is the Zimbabwean Dollar (ZW$)
which is divided into 100 Cents.
Health Precautions
Prophylactics/anti-malaria medication is a necessity for visitors to Zimbabwe.
A yellow fever certificate required for anyone arriving from or transiting infected
areas.

Imbabala
Safari Lodge (3 days):

north-western corner of Zimbabwe. This is big game country, flanked
by the Zambezi River, where wonderful game viewing and bird watching
