Situation
Zambia is a vast plateau bordered by Angola to the west, Zaire
to the north, Tanzania to the north-east, Malawi to the east,
Mozambique to the south-east, Zimbabwe and Botswana to the south.
Climate
Although Zambia lies in the tropics, the height of the plateau
ensure that the climate is seldom unpleasantly hot, except in
the valleys.
It is cool and dry in the winter season (May to September), hot and dry in summer
(October and November) and even hotter in the rainy season (December to April).
Languages
Official Language: English Other: The main languages are Nyanja, Tonga, Bemba,
Lozi, Laonde, Luvale and Lunda.
Currency
Zambia’s unit of currency is the Kwacha (K) which is divided
into 100 Ngwee.
Health Precautions
Prophylactics/anti-malaria medication is a necessity for visitors to Zambia. A
yellow fever certificate required for anyone arriving from or transiting infected
areas.

Adventure (10 days):
Experience the highlights of the South Luangwa National Park,
Lower Zambezi Valley and Victoria Falls with this classic Zambian
safari. From Lusaka, transfer by air to Kapani Safari Lodge in
the South Luangwa for 2 nights, where game drives afford you close
up views of prolific wildlife. On Day 3 transfer to Tena Tena,
a remote camp with a stunning location alongside a river, where
you enjoy guided walks and game drives. On Day 5 transfer to Chiawa
Camp or Sausage Tree Camp on the banks of the Lower Zambezi River
for 3 nights. Here you can choose between guided walks, game drives,
boat cruises, canoeing, birding or tiger fishing. On Day 8 transfer
by air to Tongabezi Lodge near Victoria Falls and spend the next
2 days exploring the area. On day 10 depart from Livingstone Airport.
