of Swakopmund, the desolate Skeleton Coast extends from the Kunene
River on the Angolan border to the Ugab River in the south, a
vast area accessible only by air. Undulating sand dunes, rocky
volcanic mountain ranges and occasional grassy plains characterise
this remote area, known also for the shipwrecks dotted along its
formidable coastline. |
