Karin
was born and raised in Johannesburg and after completing her schooling,
fell into the Accounting field “by mistake” but found
it was something she really enjoyed and decided to pursue it further
by continuing her studies in Accounting.
Growing up, most family holidays were spent
in Cape Town however Karin has traveled quite extensively locally
as well as
internationally and has visited Kwa-Zulu
Natal (traveled the North and

South coasts as well as the Drakensberg), Mpumulanga and many
of the game farms and lodges in the North West Province. She’s
convinced, “nothing beats an African Bush Sunset”
which is something most Africans agree with! Other travels in
Africa have taken her to Lesotho, Transkei and Namibia and internationally
to Brazil, America and the Seychelles.
Karin’s
career started out in the computer industry where she stayed for

years before moving to an Auditing
firm and finally joining the Accounts Department at Journey Beyond
in 2005. She says she now has the best of both worlds, doing what
she does best in an industry as exciting as tourism in Southern
Africa! “I love the diversity of travel in Africa –
there are so many different experiences on offer from the bush
to the beach and of course, the islands. Why would anyone want
to go anywhere else?” |
