Karen Badria was born in Port Elizabeth - the windy city, in South Africa. She spent a few years there with her family before relocating to Johannesburg. Like many South Africans, Karen enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it be on her fiance’s farm in the Waterberg region, diving in Mozambique and Sodwana Bay, on safari in Botswana or simply at a friends house enjoying an afternoon braai (Barbeque!!)
She has lived in New Zealand for a year, travelled to Spain, France, London, Hong Kong, Singapore and Scotland,

but her best memories are still those that come from many holidays spent in Richards Bay, Jeffery’s Bay, the Welgevonden Nature Reserve, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town
Karen first joined the travel industry in 1995, she came from a costing background in the Manufacturing Industry and by sheer chance, she started a temp position at a local tour operator calculating their series tour cost sheets! From manual cost sheets she moved over to work on a reservations system – Tourplan, and thanks to this system, Karen is still in the travel industry today!! |

Karen became passionate about training consultants on how to use Tourplan to its full capacity. She later joined a large inbound tour operator where she was appointed Information Systems Manager for the group.
Karen loves to travel in and around South Africa, “There is so much diversity in our beautiful country” |
