A story about my life...
I
was born, grew up and educated in Zimbabwe where I completed my
O levels in 1991. I immigrated to South Africa as there was a
lack of job opportunities in Zimbabwe. My first job here was as
a painter for a period of 4 years. Then I also worked as a receptionist
at the Hertford Inn in Lanseria, Johannesburg. Hertford Inn fell
on bad times so after being retrenched I managed to find a position

at
Astoria Bakery as a confectioner in 1996. This too was short lived
as they decided shortly after employing me to cut back on staff
and it was last in, first out. It was then on the 7th of January,
I landed in Mr Lategan’s employ and started working as a
gardener.
As
I was working for Mr Lategan I began to realize that without having
either a course or some kind of qualification you are nothing.
I then enrolled with Damelin Management

School in 1998 for an office administration course. I followed
this up with a course in pay roll administration and finally a
driver’s licence. Through my input and sacrifice I managed
to pass all these courses. Finally I have learnt that in life
nothing comes easy unless you work hard and make some sacrifices.
I now fulfil an administration roll at Journey Beyond and I look
forward to forwarding your calls when you contact us.
