Andries was born, grew up in and was educated in Johannesburg,
South Africa. He went on to complete a degree and diploma in Investment
Management through the RAU University in Johannesburg and joined
Journey Beyond’s Accounts Department on a part-time basis
in May 2004 while he continues with his studies.
With
his degree behind him, Andries was employed to assist with the
calculation and transformation of financial information into a
format

suitable
for analysis and as one of the few men in the company, he provides
the girls with some much needed gender balance!
Andries loves to travel and has a particular love of South Africa,
having traveled to most of the countries provinces and places
of interest from Cape Agullas (most Southern Point of South Africa)
to Beit Bridge (the most Northern Point); he’s climbed Table
Mountain in Cape Town and visited the Drakensberg, |

God’s Window in Mpumulanga, the Kruger National Park, Addo
Elephant Park, Pilanesberg Game Reserve, Outdtshoorn and the Cango
Caves, the Big Hole in Kimberley and many of the game farms and
lodges through the Northern and Limpopo Provinces. Andries is
a keen sportsman and plays golf, cricket and rugby and his favourite
destination in Southern Africa is Xai-Xai in Mozambique, a popular
spot for avid salt water fisherman. |
